A Relaxed Evening ~ Low Fat Indian Fish Cakes | Cutlets ~ Healthy, Easy
This Fish Cutlet Recipe or Indian Fish Cakes is made with homemade Indian mix. Its a very easy and quick recipe to follow. In India we call Fish cakes as Fish Cutlets. These Indian Fish Cakes or Fish Cutlets are good appetizers, snacks or can even be served as part of the main course. They are usually deep fried in a lot of oil but I prefer them to be shallow fried in coconut oil and also not dipped in flour. Thus making it low fat and healthier. This video is very close to my heart as it a tribute to my grandmother. Fish Cakes/ Cutlets were one of her favourites. In this video you will hear about a wonderful memory I have of my grandmother and the first time I had cutlets. What you need: Fish – 2 cans, ready minced Red onions – 1 small or ½ medium sized Ginger – 1 Inch piece (refer the size shown in the video) Garlic – 4 large pods Dill leaves – a handful (pls refer the video on other herbs that tastes well with Indian fish cutlet Garam Masala – ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon Salt - ¼ teaspoon Egg – 1 Breadcrumbs – 1 cup Coconut Oil - 1 tablespoon (If you’re using another meat, you have to cook the meat, mince it and then mix in the masala and potatoes) Low Fat Indian Chicken Curry with Coconut Milk: https://youtu.be/OjuTPdwh5GI .................................................. Here's my quick nutritious and tasty lentil recipe using two basic Indian Spices. Perfect for a healthy lifestyle. NUTRITIOUS & TASTY LENTIL RECIPE : Serves 4 Prep Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Red Lentils/ Masoor Dal – 2 Cups | Washed Red Onions – 1 Cup | Roughly chopped Garlic – 4 large pods | Roughly chopped Tomato – 1 medium or large sized | Large Slices Turmeric – 1/4 teaspoon | Ground Cumin – 1 teaspoon | Dried, Whole Indian/Thai Green Chilli Pepper – 1 Sliced If you want it more spicy, you can add in 2 or 3 or add 1 teaspoon Ground Paprika Water – 2 Cups Salt – I usually don’t measure salt, but approx. ½ teaspoon is added here. A healthy lifestyle recipe - This one pan easy fish recipe is my go to when I crave for fish after a hectic day. Not just cos its an easy fish recipe, cooking everything in one pan makes its so much easier and time saving! Who has the patience after such a long day at work. A long hectic day at work used to drive me to eat junk or order in, that was a terrible habit that creeped into my life which made me so unhealthy, gain so much weight, and several other health issues. Eating Hope this one pan easy recipe would be helpful for you. Fish and Peppers Recipe: Serves 4 Prep and Marinating Time:15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins Fish fillets – 3 large fillets | Haddock, Basa or Cod Fish For marinating 0:50 Ground Black Pepper – 1 tsp Salt – 1 tsp or as per your need Turmeric – ½ tsp Ground Cayenne – 1 tsp (I like it hot; you can use it less if you can’t take the spice) For cooking 1:15 Coconut butter – 3 tbsp (if it is in the oil form, ¾ cup) Red Onions – 1 large | chopped in large sizes Bell Pepper/ Capsicum – 1 large | chopped to the same size as the onions Tomato – 1 medium or large sized | Sliced Green Chilli Pepper: Thai/Indian – 2 | Sliced Salt – as per your taste Ground Black Pepper – ½ tsp Water – Sprinkle over For Garnishing 5:14 Spring Onion – ¼ cup | Chopped Lemon– If you’re not making the beetroot yoghurt side, squeeze some lemon over for some acidity on the fish.
